Q. Do you do tours throughout the year?
A. I do! I’m a new business operating since Feb 2025, but intend to go throughout the year – there’s always so much to see and enjoy!
Q. How long are the walks?
A. The walks are not long distance (probably 2 miles max) and you can always get a bus back to the start point or the nearest transport stop easily if it’s not a circuit. If you want a hike, this isn’t it. If you want a leisurely stroll via some wonderful stop off points, you’re in the right place!
Q. Do you have regular rest stops?
A. Yes – we stop at venues every few minutes, most of which will have toilet facilities and somewhere to rest if needed.
Q. What sort of things can we expect?
A. Expect to be inspired! I take you to places you wouldn’t normally have access to and arrange chats with artists and community project leaders who all have wonderful stories… I’ll add in snippets of info about the history or current goings-on in the area and I help the group to integrate and chat as we go along, so it’s very much a fun and social event as well as an interesting one! One walk guest told me it was one of the best days she’d ever had in her life!
Q. Is Walthamstow easy to get to? It’s at the end of the tube line…
A. Yes, it’s really easy! We have so many transport links we’re very lucky. Come by tube on the Underground – we’re the end of the Victoria line. Or by overland train – Weaver line – from Liverpool St via Hackney to Walthamstow Central. Or to Queen’s Road station which is a short walk away from Walthamstow Central. Or a plethora of buses from all over the place!
Q. Can I take photos?
A. Yes, definitely of me and you and whoever we visit, but always check with anyone else before you have them in the photo or in the background, especially if posting on social media.
Q. Can I sign up to a newsletter to get updates?
A. Yes – coming soon!
